At Beyond Marketing, we believe creativity doesn’t stop at the office door—it’s a way of life. It flows into our communities, our passions, and the projects that inspire us beyond client work. As an artist and designer, creativity is how I process the world: through observation, interpretation, and transformation. This summer, I had the privilege of being both an organizer, designer, and participating artist in Art Remix LIVE!—a one-night collaborative art event in downtown Wheeling that celebrated creativity, connection, and the power of design to build community while raising funds for flood relief.
Art That Builds Connection
Art Remix LIVE! brought together local artists to create evolving works in real time. Each canvas told a layered story of shared vision, bold brushstrokes, and the kind of energy that only happens when people create side by side. For me, balancing the role of planner and painter reflected what I love most about Beyond Marketing: the belief that creativity isn’t confined to one medium or to a nine-to-five schedule.
Creativity for a Cause
Even more meaningful, the first Art Remix LIVE! was dedicated to raising funds for local flood relief. Proceeds from ticket sales, a silent auction, and raffles supported recovery efforts—showing that art is not only expressive but deeply impactful.
The event came to life thanks to the partnership of Jes Reger Davis, a local watercolorist and art teacher, along with the support of Beyond Marketing teammates. Kelly Dopkiss volunteered at the event, and Matt Myles joined in support—proof that creativity and community go hand in hand. We’re also grateful to our sponsors, including the Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission, RSQP, Table 304, and Avenue Eats, whose generosity helped bring this vision to life at Waterfront Hall.

Our team thrives on the idea that design can move people, inspire action, and strengthen communities. Art Remix LIVE! became a space where marketing met fine art, where collaboration wasn’t just a buzzword but a live performance with lasting impact.

For me, Art Remix LIVE! wasn’t just about paint and canvas—it was about showing up as both an artist and a marketer, blending strategy with spontaneity, and building connections that extend far beyond the workplace.
